how much should I water my log?
Your mushroom log does not have to be moist all the time, if the bark is allowed to dry between waterings it can prevent mold from occurring. This is especially true in stacks of multiple logs.
Whether your log is outside or inside you will want to give it 1 inch of water per week. During rainy seasons outdoor logs will get natural rainfall and shouldn’t require supplemental watering. You can also use the soaking method and soak your log for 6-18 hours once a month. If you want to mist your log you can mist it daily. There are so many ways to care for your log, it can really be customized to fit your lifestyle.
